SteVon Edwards, MPH is a visionary realist who works with businesses, non-profits, and collective groups to implement innovative & effective policies & practices that increase impact & improve outcomes. Before starting SChenault Solutions in 2017, SteVon served in and led organizations across the U.S. for 15+ years. During a successful career within the public health sector, she learned which infrastructure improvements contribute to the most profound impact. She now supports organizations in strategic planning, program design, evaluation, and fund development.
Collective Impact Project Management. The development, implementation, and evaluation of a citywide collective impact group of 25+ cross-sector agencies to reduce infant mortality with a focus on healthcare access, father engagement, healthy behaviors, and mental/behavioral health/drug abuse prevention. Federal grant program management. Work plan design (defining the need and scope of the projects), coordinating community partners (communication, accountability), data collection (monitoring) and evaluation (analysis), budget management, federal grant reporting, site mentoring.
Federal and local grant monitoring and administration. Auditing, grant review, committee selection, ongoing technical assistance to non-profits. 2017 United States Department of Health and Human Services Office for Women Grant Review Committee Chair.
Community Organizing. Management of a citywide local food program designed to increase access to farm-fresh food for city residents and implement policies that support KY farmers. Customer/Grower relationship facilitation, budget management, procurement, team-building, strategic planning/policy development, community-wide marketing.
